TOWN DEPARTMENTS
The Parrish Town Council unanimously passed a motion to accept a contract for
the SMW Engineering Group to topographically survey land for construction of a new recreation
park.
The proposed park could include recreational elements such as multiple baseball and football
fields, splash pads, walking tracks, hiking trails, numerous playgrounds, basketball and
tennis courts as well as pavilions. The park would also feature ecologically safe or
“green” technology to make it as environmentally friendly as possible.

Good Morning Program
The Parrish Police Department is pleased to sponsor the “Good Morning Program”.
This program is assigned to aid the senior citizens with disabilities and are living alone in
our community. The goal of the program is to offer assistance and assurance to these citizens
so they may continue living an independent lifestyle. The “Good Morning”
Program” will help to eliminate some concerns that family members of those who live
alone might have. “The Good Morning Program” provides the security of knowing that
their loved one will have a source of daily contact.
The program does not cost our citizens any money. The ones that choose to
participate will receive a phone call between 8:00 -10:00 a.m. everyday from a representative
from the Police Department to wish them a “Good Morning” and to check on them. If
there is no answer from the participant, an officer will be dispatched to the residence to
check on the participant, and the family member listed on the application will be notified.

The Water Works Board of the Town of Parrish was formed in 1958, as a
nonprofit municipal corporation, to serve the residents of the Town of Parrish with safe
drinking water. At this time the system served approximately 250 customers. In 1991, the
Board took over the operation and maintenance of the wastewater collection and treatment
systems for the Town of Parrish and was renamed Parrish Water Works and Sewer Board.
